ME
OLESIA IAKIVCHYK
Olesia Iakivchyk has more than 15 year experience in English language education and 5 year experience in training teachers of English and other subjects.
Her roles have included teaching a range of ages and levels (starter to academic and advanced), preparing for internationally recognized qualifications (Cambridge tests of English) and providing professional development training to local teachers in Ukraine and Azerbaijan.
Following her initial Train-the-trainer training in 2013, Olesia received her diploma in Teacher Training (British Council) in 2015 and the certificate as a Master Trainer in Core Skills program in 2017 in London.
She has worked in a number of projects and courses organized by the British Council and the Ministry of Science and Education (English as a Life Skill (2015-2016), English Teachers Change Agents (2015-2016), Teaching for Success (2017-2018), Teacher Training Summer and Winter Schools (2016-2018), New Generation Teachers (2018-2019), Core Skills (2019- present)).
Olesia has participated in British Council webinars addressing inclusion in the field of education. Following the webinar, she trained teachers on how to implement inclusive practices.
Olesia currently works at Chernivtsi Gymnasia 5 and is a teacher for the 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th, 8th, 9th and 11th Formers. She is a prize winner in the Teacher of the Year contest, a constant participant of online events and an attendee of international trainings, seminars, webinars and courses.
